Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design

During my 2018-2019 season on Western Formula Racing we converted the car to an Electric Vehicle. This required the design and implementation of many different PCBs to pass the strict rules set forth by FSAE. During this season the majority of my time was placed working on the Accumulator, but I had a hand in designing and fabricating all boards shown below. Feel free to contact me if you have further interest in the boards shown below.

Blank Boards

Shown below are the board blanks for every PCB we made in our 2018-2019 season. We ordered multiple copies of each board and soldered backup boards together to have as spares during competition. Some of the boards include a high voltage detection circuit, a safety board, a 600 watt DC-DC converter, and a temperature measurement board. I performed all programming required for the micro-controller on the temperature measurement board with a real time library in Arduino.

Populated Boards

Below are the completed PCBs. I played a large role in soldering many of the PCBs shown, as well as debugging and testing the boards before they were deemed fit for use in our FSAE vehicle.
